How To De-Stress In The Corporate World

I remember the days when I was working in the corporate world. When I constantly had my head glued to a screen deep in emails, or stuck at my desk waiting for a call, at the same time there’s a meeting in six minutes and a feeling of constantly being pulled in a million directions. All the while trying to navigate interoffice dramas, actually feeding myself, trying to fit in the gym and a personal life and oh! I still need to get the washing done when I get home….I remember feeling by the end of the day overwhelmed and like I had nothing left to give any other areas of my life. And this isn’t the case for everyone working a 9-5, but its certainly a story I hear a lot of from my friends in the corporate world.
On our Bali Retreats we do twice daily yoga or meditation, as we believe yoga and mindfulness practices are essential to the ongoing care and balance of your mind and body.
Now I’m not saying make time for yoga twice in one day when you’re at home and in the swing of daily life, but my hot tip for my corporates is try and fit in at least 10 minutes before bed, straight after work or early in the morning. It will work wonders for those of you who are feeling pulled in all directions at the moment, it certainly helped me when I was working in that space.
So while time isn’t something the average office worker has in ample supply, a daily yoga or meditation practice does wonders for mindset, stress relief and body wellness. It was my one island of calm amidst the chaos of corporate life.
And for my corporates who just feel a little burnt out at the moment, why not book yourself into a week with us in Bali to truly give yourself a break and get back to feeling like yourself again.
We would love for you to join us this August in Ubud for a transformative week away...
Saturday 27th July – Friday 2nd August 2019.
